Director
Washington State University (WSU) seeks a visionary, energetic, and strategic leader to serve as Director of the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art (JSMOA). The Director will join JSMOA at an exciting time, with the opening of a new purpose-built museum that will dramatically increase its ability to engage the community with the arts. In addition, the Director will implement the rebirth of the current Museum space into The Collections & Learning Gallery, and spearhead the development and opening of a downtown gallery space. During this time of growth, the Director will be responsible for fully integrating JSMOA into the academic mission of WSU, increasing access and visitation, securing accreditation from the American Alliance of Museums, and diversifying JSMOA’s financial support.
A minimum of five years of museum leadership and management experience in progressively responsible positions. Possession of a Master’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required.
